Consonants are the simplest to identify and therefore the first on which to train the child to stimulate the development of phonological awareness. By practicing to prolong the sound he hears at the beginning of these words (ffffff, vvvvvvv ...), the child will encourage the perception of the sounds of these consonants to know how to associate each image with the word that begins the same.

In order to allow a differentiation and a memorization of vowels and consonants, this game and its complement The flowers of sounds 1, are designed using as reference the blue color for vowels and the red color for consonants like Montessori mobile letters.

And to make it easier to find the sound you're working on, a slider with a green coloured button indicates the place of the sound you're listening to at the beginning of the word, according to the coding you'll find in our other syllable tracking games (green  sound at the beginning ; orange  sound in the middle ; red  sound at the end of the word)

If you wish to reconstitute the 6 flowers of the sounds simultaneously, we advise you to buy the set of 4 additional trays that you will find on our products page.
